School Uniforms
The Situation
Most school-aged children in Malawi do not have school uniforms and end up wearing torn or inappropriate attire to school. A uniform can instill a sense of pride and belonging and can even improve learning by reducing distraction, sharpening focus on schoolwork, and making the classroom a more serious environment, allowing students to perform better academically.
We have hired 2 tailors and purchased two sewing machines using locally sourced materials to provide students with the required school uniform.
