Chisomo Kambandanga is a motivated, innovative, and task driven professional with over three years’ experience in community and resource mobilization. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Humanities from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. He excels in mobilizing community members to improve their livelihoods through self- help development projects. He joined community service in 2013 when he worked with Chanco Project Rejuvenation as a Community Engagement coordinator. He enjoyed working as an administrative assistant on voluntary basis at Rainbow Children’s Development Centre in 2014. From 216 he worked as a bank teller with standard bank and resigned in September 2018 to pursue his desire for field work. He joined the Ministry of Gender, community Development and Social Welfare as a Project officer (Social welfare officer responsible for social cash transfer program- intern) in 2019. Chisomo was part of the team that won a grant of $2000 from TOYOTA Malawi in 2017 for a local organization called COMFOTS which he co-founded. He believes that resource mobilization demands a shared responsibility. It takes an army to put together a successful resource mobilization case. He is currently a CorpsAfrica Volunteer working together with the community in finding solutions to their problems. As a volunteer, he has so far won a $1000 micro-grant fund and $2000 grant both from MasterCard. Chisomo is happy to work with Annika Children’s initiatives in improving lives of children in the rural villages.
